FAQ

UAE eInvoicing — Frequently Asked Questions

When does UAE eInvoicing become mandatory for my business?

It depends on your annual revenue. Businesses at or above AED 50 million must appoint an ASP by 30 October 2026 and implement by 1 January 2027. Businesses below that threshold have until 31 March 2027 to appoint an ASP and 1 July 2027 to implement.

Is a PDF invoice enough to comply with UAE eInvoicing?

No. A PDF is not structured electronic invoice data under the UAE Electronic Invoicing System — it needs to pass through an Accredited Service Provider as structured data, not just be emailed as a document.

Do I need to replace my accounting system for eInvoicing?

Not necessarily. If you're on Zoho Books, TallyPrime, or another system that can integrate with an ASP, switching platforms purely for eInvoicing usually creates unnecessary disruption. We assess your existing setup before recommending anything.

How do you help businesses prepare for UAE eInvoicing?

We assess your implementation phase, help you select and onboard an ASP, clean your customer and item master data, configure your accounting system, test the workflow, and train your team — end to end, not just the technical setup.

Is eInvoicing the same as VAT filing?

No — they're separate obligations. eInvoicing provides structured transaction data through the prescribed electronic system; VAT returns remain a distinct compliance requirement.
